In the year 8521, Abd Al-Rahman II, emir of Córdoba, published a decree forcing, under penalty of death, children born of mixed marriages to embrace Islam.
Biography
The sisters Elodia and Nuilón, young people whose mother had married a Muslim, are included in that case. Faced with the demands of their father who incites them to apostasy, they take refuge in the home of a Christian aunt they had in Barbastro, Huesca. His withdrawal is discovered. They are taken to court where they refuse to renounce their faith and are beheaded.
