Emiliano or Millán (+574)
Bishop
He lived as a hermit in front of the Cogolla peak in La Rioja, Spain, except for a short interval in which the bishop of Tarragona invited him to receive the priesthood and be parish priest of Berceo.
Biography
As Emiliano gave everything to the poor, the rest of the priests complained that he made their lives impossible because his poor had become very demanding. Consequently, the bishop allowed Emiliano to return to his mountain, where he died as a centenarian. A great lover of music, Emiliano frequently played the zither in his hermitage. In Spain he is better known as San Millán and has given his name to a town: San Millán de la Cogolla.
Practical advice
