Enrique de Ossó (1840–1896)
Founding priest
Spanish priest, catechist and founder of the Company of Saint Teresa of Jesus, Enrique de Ossó renewed the Christian education of his time.
Biography
He organized catechetical schools, wrote a guide for catechists and used books and magazines to train families, young people and teachers. Inspired by Saint Teresa of Jesus, he founded a congregation dedicated to knowing and loving Christ through education. He suffered trials and misunderstandings without abandoning fidelity to the Church. His apostolic activity was born from an intense life of prayer.
