Estanislao de Jesús María Papczyński (1631–1701)
Founding priest
Polish priest and founder of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, Stanislaus Papczyński promoted holiness, education of the people and prayer for the dead.
Biography
He entered the Piarists, where he was a teacher and preacher, but after difficult tensions he left the order with authorization. In 1670, a new male community dedicated to honoring the Immaculate Conception, assisting parish priests, and teaching the faith to simple people began. He lived the wars and epidemics of his time with a spirit of penitence and charity. He considered love to be the soul of every Christian community.
