Flavia Domitilla (1st century)
Martyr
Wife of Flavius Clement, governor of Rome, and both belonging to the Flavian family, to which the last three emperors of the 1st century also belonged.
Biography
Although Domitian had unleashed great persecution against Christians, Flavia Domitilla openly practiced her faith. Despite her relationship to the emperor, she was banished to the island of Pandataria, where she ended her life as a martyr.
