Francisca Ana Cirer Carbonell (1781–1855)

Religious

A Majorcan laywoman known as “Francinaina,” Francisca Ana Cirer wanted to be a nun, but family and political circumstances delayed her goal for decades.

Biography

She lived consecrated in her own home, dedicating herself to prayer, catechism, parish service and helping the poor and sick. As an old woman she founded the Sisters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul of Mallorca. He chose poverty and waited patiently for God's moment, without leaving the long preparation time unproductive.

Practical advice

While you wait for a future possibility, do today the good that is already within your reach with present means.
