Francisca Romana (1384–1440)

family mother

Francisca Ponziani was born in Rome.

Biography

She was a model of a wife and mother dedicated to the education of her children. He dedicated long periods of time to prayer and serving the poor. After her husband died, she gathered a group of women, founding the Oblates of Mary. He repeated: “Prayer is very good, but a married woman has to attach enormous importance to household duties.” He understood well that work is prayer; and that household work is sanctifiable.

Practical advice

Today, in the presence of God, slowly read a short passage of the Gospel and offer that effort for someone who needs help.
