Francisco Antonio Fasani (1681–1742)
Franciscan missionary priest
Italian conventual Franciscan, preacher and theologian, Francisco Antonio Fasani combined solid culture with a charity that went as far as giving away his own clothes.
Biography
Trained in Lucera and Assisi, he was ordained in 1705 and served in his hometown for thirty-five years. He taught philosophy and theology, trained young religious, preached missions and spent long hours in the confessional. He cared for prisoners, the sick and poor families, organized help in times of hunger and spread devotion to the Immaculate Conception. His constant criterion was to welcome the will of God as paradise.
