Francisco Mottola (1901–1969)
Founding priest
Italian priest, writer and founder, Francisco Mottola promoted a spirituality of self-giving that he called “oblation.” He served as a seminary trainer, preacher, spiritual director and animator of cultural and charitable initiatives in Calabria.
Biography
He founded the Houses of Charity for the sick, disabled, elderly and abandoned, together with the Oblates of the Sacred Heart. After suffering paralysis, he continued to offer guidance and support his work since his illness.
