Francisco Spinelli (1853–1913)
Priest
Italian priest and apostle of the Eucharist, Francisco Spinelli founded the Sisters Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament to unite adoration and service to the poor.
Biography
A painful crisis separated him from part of the nascent work and left him burdened with debts and slander, but he responded with forgiveness and began again. He cared for those whom no one wanted, especially the sick, orphans and marginalized people. His experience shows that contemplating Christ in the Eucharist necessarily leads to recognizing Him in our wounded neighbor.
