Saint Gaston (+540) He occupied the episcopal see of Arras, France for forty years until his death.
Biography
His biographer says that, after Tolbiac's victory, the Frankish king Clovis was looking for a priest who could quickly instruct him in the truths of the faith in order to be baptized. Gaston was appointed to accompany him to Reims before his baptism. The king was so satisfied with his catechist that he recommended him to Saint Remigius, who appointed him bishop of Arras.
