Genoveva Torres Morales (1870–1956)

Spanish founder known as the “Angel of Solitude,” Genoveva Torres Morales dedicated her life to women who lived alone and without support.
Biography
She was orphaned at the age of eight and had a leg amputated at the age of thirteen, but she transformed her suffering into tenderness towards others. She founded the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Holy Angels, with homes where women found company, dignity and Christian life. The Eucharist, the Sacred Heart and the rosary sustained his mission.
