Gertrudis Comensoli (1847–1903)
Religious
An Italian nun passionate about the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, Gertrudis Comensoli founded the Sacramentine Sisters for the adoration and education of working girls.
Biography
An economic crisis led the work to almost disappear and temporarily separated her from her sisters, but she remained faithful and collaborated in its reconstruction. He wanted to translate the charity contemplated before the tabernacle into charity lived with one's neighbor. His life integrated prayer and social initiative, without allowing one to replace the other.
Practical advice
Combine a visit to the Blessed Sacrament today with an action that improves someone's work or study conditions.
