Gertrude the Great, mystic (1256–1302)
Mystique
She was a nun at the Abbey of Helfta, in Saxony, when, in her own words, the Lord "took possession of her, raised her up, and established her with him." Since then she lived in deep union with God, dedicated to the meditation of the Holy Scriptures and the Holy Fathers and pointing out the fruit of her contemplation of the crucified Christ.
Practical advice
As soon as you have the opportunity, be grateful for the good received through the sacraments without leaving for tomorrow the good that you can do today.
