Gregory of Tours (538–594)
Bishop
Descendant of an illustrious family from Auvergne, France, he was appointed bishop of Tours in the midst of political turbulence and countless massacres, by the grandchildren of Clovis.
Biography
Saint Gregory prevailed over everyone thanks to his virtues and his courage. He also left an honest and sincere testimony of the events in his History of the Franks, an irreplaceable book to learn about the Merovingian era.
