Martyrs
Practical advice
With the desire to sanctify everyday life, avoid criticism and speak with charity about those who have hurt you without leaving for tomorrow the good that you can do today.
Biography
This group of martyrs, among whom were Gregory and Francisco Fogolla, bishops, two priests, and a lay religious, all Franciscans, as well as 6 Franciscan Missionaries of Mary nuns and 14 Chinese laymen, gave their lives for Christ in the persecution of the Boxers. Saint Gregory Grassi exhorted them: Christians, remain constant in the faith; We do not fear death for the glory of God. They were canonized by John Paul II on October 1, 2000.
