Guenael (510–590)

He was born near Quimper, France and was Saint Guenolé's successor as head of Landennec Abbey.
Biography
He went to Ireland in order to learn about the type of monastic life on the island and he liked it so much that he stayed there for thirty-four years. Returning to Brittany, he did not return to his old monastery, but founded a new one at the mouth of the Blaut River, near Lorient, and died there some time later.
Practical advice
As an offering to the Lord, spend a few minutes asking for holy and generous vocations as someone who works and prays under the loving gaze of God.
