Hilda (567–633)
Abbess
Daughter of Saint Edwin, king of Northumbria, she was abbess at Harlepool and at Whitby, a monastery, the latter founded by her.
Biography
The Venerable Bede relates that this saint always had a very cheerful temperament, even in the last seven years of her life when, attacked by numerous illnesses, she suffered relentlessly.
Practical advice
With simplicity and joy, seek to reconcile two people without increasing the conflict and start again with humility if it doesn't go well.
