Hugh (1053–1032)
Bishop
He was bishop of Grenoble, France, for more than half a century, against his wishes, as he wished to retire to an abbey as a Carthusian monk, and he presented his resignation several times to the Pope without it being accepted.
Biography
He led an extremely austere life and sold even his pastoral ring and his most precious chalice to help the poor. Hugo played an important role in two Councils, always defending the Catholic faith, even confronting the monarch. He was canonized two years after his death by Pope Innocent II.

As an offering to the Lord, teach a truth of faith clearly and lovingly with peace, perseverance and good humor.
