Ignatius Kłopotowski, priest (1866–1931)
Founding priest
Polish priest, journalist and founder, Ignacio Kłopotowski responded to material and spiritual poverty with concrete works and intense Catholic communication work.
Biography
Ordained in 1891, he taught at the seminary and cared for the sick, workers, exploited women, orphans and the elderly. He founded workshops, schools, shelters, soup kitchens and publications to spread the Gospel and form social conscience. To ensure this mission he created the Congregation of the Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Loreto. It united organizational capacity, love of truth and trust in providence.
