Biography
Of the numerous works he left written, one stands out in which he defends the virginity of Saint Mary. Velázquez, Zurbarán, Murillo and Rubens have immortalized him in canvases in which he appears receiving a chasuble from the Mother of God herself, as a reward and token of gratitude.
