Inés de Jesús Galand (1602–1634)
Educator
French contemplative Dominica, Inés de Jesús Galand served the priestly renewal through prayer and hidden offering.
Biography
Consecrated to the Virgin since she was a child, she entered the reformed monastery of Langeac, where she was mistress of novices and prioress. Moved internally, she prayed and offered sufferings for Juan Jacobo Olier, whom she helped to recognize his mission in the formation of the clergy and the future foundation of San Sulpicio. The slander that led to her dismissal as prioress did not alter her charity or her obedience. He died at the age of thirty-one, leaving a strong mark of trust and availability before God.
Practical advice
Pray today in a concrete way for the fidelity of a priest and avoid judging him lightly.
