Isabel Czacka (1876–1961)
Franciscan nun
Polish nun, Isabel Czacka completely lost her sight in her youth and turned that ordeal into a mission to dignify the lives of other blind people.
Biography
He founded an association, schools and workshops where students could receive academic, professional and spiritual training. Later she created the Franciscan Sisters Servants of the Cross and the Laski center, which integrated blind and sighted people into the same community. During the war it welcomed the wounded and persecuted; taught that disability does not eliminate the ability to serve and transform society.
