Biography
He has been venerated in Mediterranean regions as the patron saint of sailors. He was a soldier in Numerio's fleet and was in charge of distributing the soldiers to his companions. Out of envy they denounced him as a Christian. He underwent a long interrogation during which he bravely confessed his faith. Numero had his tongue cut out before ordering him to be beheaded.
