Passionist religious born in Vrasene, Belgium, from a family of farmers.
Biography
At 26 he was admitted to the Passionist convent in Saint Gilles, where he spent his short life working in the garden and in the kitchen, with long hours of personal and community prayer. His simplicity and kindness, his punctuality and diligence at work made him loved by everyone. His goal was “to be nothing more than a good man,” and with the grace of God he managed to be a man after the heart of Christ.
