Venerable Isidoro Zorzano Ledesma (1902–1943)

Isidoro Zorzano was born in Buenos Aires, grew up in Spain, and became an industrial engineer.
Biography
A former schoolmate of Saint Josemaría Escrivá, he joined Opus Dei in 1930 and learned to seek holiness in professional work and ordinary duties. During the Spanish Civil War, he served people courageously and discreetly, carrying spiritual and material help across dangerous circumstances. Colleagues knew him for competence, serenity, humility, charity, and careful attention to small responsibilities. He offered his final illness to God and died in Madrid in 1943.
