Ján Havlík (1928–1965)

A Slovakian Vincentian seminarian, Ján Havlík continued his training clandestinely when the communist regime closed religious houses.
Biography
Arrested in 1951, he suffered interrogations, torture, forced labor and long years in prison for his faith and for evangelizing other detainees. His health was destroyed, but he lived his last years with serenity and abandonment to God. He did not become ordained a priest; However, he offered his life with a missionary spirit and remained faithful to the vocation he received until he died prematurely.
