Josafata Hordashevska (1869–1919)

A Ukrainian Greek Catholic nun, Josafata Hordashevska co-founded the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, the first apostolic female congregation of her rite.
Biography
The sisters cared for the sick, opened kindergartens, taught catechism, took care of rural churches and supported parish life. Josaphata formed the community while facing poverty, rapid growth, and internal misunderstandings. His wish was for the nuns to be a light for a spiritually and socially abandoned people. He lived ordinary tasks in an extraordinary way, supporting the mission with prayer, availability and concrete love.
