José Sebastián Pelczar (1842–1924)

Priest, professor and rector of the Jagiellonian University, Joseph Sebastian Pelczar was later bishop of Przemyśl.
Biography
He worked for the intellectual and spiritual formation of the clergy, promoted libraries, schools, associations and social works, and wrote numerous books to bring theology and spiritual life closer to the faithful. She founded the Servants of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to care for the sick, workers and young people in need. As a pastor he visited parishes and responded to the changes of his time with solid doctrine and organized charity. He saw the priesthood as generous giving to others.
