José Trinidad Rangel, martyr (1887–1927)
Martyr
A Mexican priest of humble origins, José Trinidad Rangel entered the seminary late due to lack of resources and completed part of his training in Texas during the Revolution.
Biography
He served in various parishes in the diocese of León and continued celebrating the sacraments when the laws persecuted the priestly ministry. He refused to register in a way that he considered contrary to the freedom of the Church and lived in hiding without abandoning the faithful. Arrested, he was shot along with Andrés Solá and Leonardo Pérez in 1927.
