Josefina Nicoli, nun (1863–1924)

Daughter of Charity and apostle of Sardinia, Josefina Nicoli educated orphans, the sick, workers and street children with creativity and tenderness.
Biography
He arrived on the island in 1885 and, even though he was suffering from tuberculosis, he founded associations, religious schools and workshops that combined training, catechesis and material help. In Cagliari he took special care of the "basket boys", poor children who carried goods to the market. It gave them a meeting place, education and responsibility instead of treating them like criminals. He faced slander and transfers without resentment and trained collaborators capable of continuing the work.

Talk today to a street or at-risk boy as a capable person, and help him assume a possible responsibility.
