John Baptist de Rossi (1698–1764)
confessor of faith
He was priest of the Church of Saint Mary in Rome in the time of Voltaire and carried out his priestly ministry without brilliance and without noise.
Biography
He mainly preached five to six times a day in different churches, but also in hospitals and prisons, dedicating several hours to confessing in Santa María. In his time, no one realized that he lived with a saint, since he never attracted attention. When he died, his assets were: a few copper coins and his bed, which did not even belong to him.
Practical advice
With simplicity and joy, respectfully approach those who have distanced themselves from the Church, placing the result in the hands of God.
