Juan Leonardi (1541–1609)
Priest
While a priest in Tuscany, he founded a community of clerics in his city to catechize young people and adults, called "The Clerics of the Mother of God." He was forced to settle in Rome, where, with Juan Bautista Vives, he laid the foundations of the Seminary for the Propagation of the Faith.
Biography
Because of his charity, he died a victim of the plague.
