He was born in Extremadura, Spain, and emigrated to America as a merchant.
Biography
At the age of 37 he entered Lima with the Dominicans as a lay brother and served as a doorman for more than twenty years. They called him “the father of the poor” for his attention to those most in need.
Practical advice
Today, in the presence of God, call someone who is sick, old or alone and end with a brief thanksgiving.
