November 10
Juan Prassek, Hermann Lange and Eduardo Müller, priests and martyrs (+1943)
Martyrs
Three Catholic priests from Lübeck – Juan Prassek, Hermann Lange and Eduardo Müller – opposed the Nazi regime from the Gospel.
Biography
They preached against racism and totalitarian ideology, distributed critical homilies, and accompanied youth, workers, and families during the war. They collaborated fraternally with the Lutheran pastor Karl Friedrich Stellbrink. Arrested by the Gestapo, they endured more than a year in prison and were convicted for having spoken freely. The four were beheaded on November 10, 1943, a few minutes apart, united in fidelity to Christ.
Practical advice
Reject a racist or dehumanizing comment today and calmly explain why it is unfair.
