Biography
Irish lawyer trained in the Protestant tradition, Juan Sullivan entered the Catholic Church at the age of thirty-five and later joined the Company of Jesus. As a priest and educator he lived with extraordinary austerity, dedicating long hours to prayer and visiting the sick and poor. Many came to him seeking advice and consolation because of his closeness and reputation for holiness. His conversion was not just an external change: he transformed a life of privilege into humble, compassionate service.
