Julia Salzano (1846–1929)
Founding catechist
Italian teacher and founder, Julia Salzano made catechism the great mission of her life.
Biography
Orphaned by her father since she was a child, she trained with the Sisters of Charity and worked as a municipal teacher in Casoria. He taught the faith to children, young people and adults and promoted a deep devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. To continue this work, she founded the Catechist Sisters of the Sacred Heart, convinced that knowing God allows us to love and serve Him. He catechized until the end of his strength.
