Julian Martyr

This saint and his bride decided to maintain perpetual virginity and so each one went their own way into the desert where they founded monasteries.
Biography
His monks said that Julian was very hard on himself, but admirably understanding of others and governed the monks with such prudence and charity that they felt happier in the desert than if they were in the most comfortable convent of the city. He died a martyr in the persecution of Marcian in Antioch.
Practical advice
Today, in the presence of God, pray for those who suffer persecution because of their faith, placing the result in God's hands.
