Justin de Jacobis
missionary bishop
Born in San Fele, Italy, he was a missionary Bishop of the Congregation of the Missions.
Biography
He served in Alighede, Ethiopia, where he helped promote indigenous priests. He lived in extreme poverty and was a simple and good man, dedicated to the apostolate, and who suffered betrayal, hunger, thirst and prison. He was canonized in 1975.

Whenever you have the opportunity, prudently fulfill a responsibility that others have entrusted to you, remembering that holiness is built in the ordinary.
