Biography

When he came of age, he decided to become a priest, because he hated shedding blood. The king wanted to make him a bishop, but his godson refused. What Leonardo wanted was to visit and free prisoners, and at his insistence, the king granted it. In Aquitaine he tries to do the same, but is arrested. The king of Aquitaine comes to recognize that he is a man of God and asks him to intercede for his wife who was five days into labor. As soon as Saint Leonard began to pray, the child was born. In gratitude, the kings built a monastery that bore the name of Noblat, where a fervent community of religious settled, but Leonardo continued on his way visiting and freeing prisoners.
