Leonella Sgorbati, virgin and martyr (1940–2006)

An Italian nun of the Consolata Missionaries, Leonella Sgorbati was a nurse and trainer in Africa and died forgiving her murderers.
Biography
After serving for decades in Kenya, he moved to Somalia to train nursing professionals in a war-torn country. There she promoted respect, health competence and dialogue with Muslims, convinced that God loves all his creatures. On September 17, 2006, she was shot in Mogadishu. As he died he repeated three times: "I forgive, I forgive, I forgive."
