Leopoldo Mandic (+1942)
Franciscan priest
Born in Castelnuovo, Italy, he entered the Capuchin Order at the age of sixteen and lived in Pavia for forty years.
Biography
As a priest, he was ardently concerned about the unity of Christians and dedicated his entire life to the ministry of reconciliation. His funeral during the Second World War was apotheotic and he was canonized by John Paul II in 1983.
