April 14
Lydia or Liduvina (1380–1433)
Secular
Lidia, or Liduvina, was born in Schiedam, Holland.
Biography
This saint is the patron saint of the chronically ill, as she seems to have suffered as much as a human being can suffer. At the age of fifteen, he fell while skating on the ice and had to stay in bed. He never got up again. His life was a genuine plea, between illnesses, pain and mistreatment from those close to him. But she also had mystical outbursts, and visits from her guardian angel, the Virgin and even Our Lord, which is why she considered herself a happy woman.
Practical advice
In a spirit of service, look for the most forgotten and make them feel that they matter without seeking applause or recognition.
