A Salesian religious and missionary in Ethiopia, Liduina Meneguzzi made God's mercy visible among the sick, wounded and prisoners.
Biography
Born into an Italian peasant family, she worked since she was a teenager and in 1926 she joined the Sisters of Saint Francis de Sales. In Dire Dawa she served as a nurse in a hospital that the war converted into a military center; He attended without distinction to Christians, Muslims and people of other religions. During the bombings he moved the wounded to shelters and returned to look for those who were still exposed. He died offering his life for peace.
