Lorenzo María Salvi (1782–1856)
Priest
Italian Passionist priest, Lorenzo María Salvi announced the mercy of God through preaching, confessions and spiritual exercises.
Biography
It especially contemplated the humility of the Child Jesus and the surrender of Christ in the Passion, and invited people to trust in God like a son in his father's arms. He desired to participate in the Catholic mission in England, but obediently agreed to remain in Italy. His apostolate sustained the faith of many people in times of strong religious hostility.
Practical advice
Accept a setback today with peace and abandon it in the hands of God with the simple trust of a child.
