Luis Andritzki (1914–1943)
Martyr
A young Sorbian priest from Germany, Luis Andritzki stood out for his joy, his closeness to young people and his firm rejection of Nazism.
Biography
Arrested in 1941 for his criticism of the regime, he was sent to the Dachau concentration camp. There he supported other prisoners, shared the Scriptures, and tried to never forget his priestly identity. Sick of typhus, he asked to receive communion, but was killed by lethal injection.
