Luis Talamoni (1848–1926)
Seminarian
Italian priest, professor and public servant, Luis Talamoni brought the Gospel to the education, social life and politics of Monza.
Biography
He trained seminarians for many years, tirelessly attended the confessional and accompanied workers and families in a period of strong social tensions. Together with María Biffi Levati she founded the Merciful Sisters of Saint Gerard to care for the sick at home. Elected municipal councilor, he honestly defended the common good without separating his civic commitment from his priestly vocation.
