Luis Variara (1875–1923)

Italian Salesian and missionary in Colombia, Luis Variara was sent to the Agua de Dios lazaret, where he accompanied leprosy patients.
Biography
There he exercised the priesthood with joy, organized music and activities for young people and founded the Daughters of the Sacred Hearts, also made up of sick women or daughters of sick people, to whom other religious doors were then closed. He suffered transfers and misunderstandings without abandoning his mission. He learned among the sick that no limitation prevents a fruitful life for God.
