Manuel Domingo y Sol (1836–1909)
Seminarian
Spanish priest known as the "apostle of vocations", Manuel Domingo y Sol dedicated his best energies to training good priests.
Biography
In Tortosa he also worked in catechesis, youth, press and attention to workers, but he understood that supporting vocations could multiply all these apostolates. He founded the Brotherhood of Diocesan Operative Priests of the Heart of Jesus and promoted schools for seminarians, including the Spanish School in Rome. His zeal united love for the priesthood, demanding formation and trust in the Heart of Jesus.
