Missionary Founding Priest
Vincentian priest and founder, Marco Antonio Durando brought the missionary spirit to the parishes, the formation of the clergy and the care of the young and the sick.
Biography
He entered the Mission Congregation at a very young age with the desire to go to China, but his superiors assigned him to preach popular missions in Italy. As a visitor, he strengthened the Daughters of Charity, promoted the Work of the Propagation of the Faith and opened a school to prepare missionaries. She founded the Nazarene Sisters to care for abandoned and sick people. His government combined firmness, prudence and paternal closeness.
